Pentaedrusaurus (meaning "pentagonal [skull] lizard"[1]) is anextinctgenus ofprocolophonidparareptile from theEarly Triassic ofChina. It is one of the mostbasal members of the procolophonid subfamilyLeptopleuroninae. The only known species ofPentaedrusaurus,P. ordosianus, was named in 1989 from theHeshanggou Formation.[2]
