Pediada (Greek:Πεδιάδα, "plain") is a region and formerprovince ofHeraklion Prefecture,Crete,Greece. Its territory corresponded with that of the current municipalityChersonisos, the municipal unitsKastelli andThrapsano, and parts of the municipal unitsNikos Kazantzakis andViannos.^[1] It was abolished in 2006.
