Kagitha Krishna Prasad is the currentMLA of the constituency, having won the2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election fromTelugu Desam Party.[3] As of 2019, there are a total of 1,65,987 electors in the constituency.[4][needs update] The constituency was established in 2008, as per theDelimitation Orders (2008).
