Paula Butterly is an IrishFine Gael politician who has been aTeachta Dála (TD) for theLouth constituency since the2024 general election.[1][2]

Butterly was co-opted toLouth County Council in 2021 to fill the seat vacated byColm Markey on his appointment to theEuropean Parliament.[3] She served as Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council from 2023 to 2024.[4] She retained her seat at the2024 Louth County Council election, and remained leader of the Fine Gael group on the council.

She was later selected with SenatorJohn McGahon to contest the general election in the Louth constituency.[5]

A barrister by profession her father, John, was a councillor in Ardee.[6]
