Paul Quilès (French pronunciation:[pɔlkilɛs], 27 January 1942 – 24 September 2021) was a FrenchSocialist politician.
Quilès was born inSig, Algeria on 27 January 1942.[1]
Quilès was a member of theNational Assembly for Paris and laterTarndépartement. He close toLaurent Fabius, and served as Defense Minister from 1985 to 1986, after theRainbow Warrior scandal. He wasInterior Minister from 1992 to 1993, then chairman of the Defense commission in theFrench National Assembly from 1997 to 2002.
Quilès died on 24 September 2021 at the age of 79.[2][3]
