Paul Austerberry (born 1966) is a Canadian film and televisionproduction designer. For his set design in the 2017 filmThe Shape of Water he won anAcademy Award^[1][2] and aBAFTA Award for Best Production Design^[3] with set decoratorsShane Vieau andJeff Melvin.^[4][5] In the 2013 filmPompeii, he won theCanadian Screen Award for Best Art Direction/Production Design at the3rd Canadian Screen Awards in 2015 withNigel Churcher.^[6]

Paul Austerberry was born in 1966 to parents Peter and Deanna Austerberry.^[7] Though the City of Toronto is his birthplace, Northern Ontario'sSault Ste. Marie waterfront city is the place where Paul Austerberry, an only child, was raised by his British-born father and Filipina mother.^[8]
