Paul Coletti (born 1959 inEdinburgh) is a Scottishviola soloist and chamber musician. He has performed throughout the world, making solo appearances at theSydney Opera House,Queen Elizabeth Hall (London), andTeatro Colón (Buenos Aires, Argentina). He has performedBéla Bartók's Viola Concerto withYehudi Menuhin conducting and has recordedRobert Schumann'sMärchenbilder andRebecca Clarke's Sonata for Viola, to some acclaim.[1]
Coletti was born in 1959 in Edinburgh, Scotland, to Italian parents. He began playing viola from the age of eight, while at St Mary's York Lane Primary School, and studied atthe Royal Scottish Academy,[2] theInternational Menuhin Music Academy,[2] and theJuilliard School. He lives inLos Angeles with his wife, violist Gina Warnick, and their two daughters, and teaches viola and chamber music at theColburn Conservatory.[citation needed]
