Paul Ben-Victor (born 1958 or 1959)^[1]is an American actor. He is best known for playing Greek mobsterSpiros "Vondas" Vondopoulos on theHBO drama seriesThe Wire, Alan Gray inEntourage (2005–2008), and Ray inBody Parts (1991).

Ben-Victor was born in New York City,^[2] the son of Victor and Leah Friedman. He is Jewish.^[3] He grew up inFlatbush, Brooklyn, where he attendedMidwood High School before graduating fromCarnegie Mellon University inPittsburgh, where he studied theater.^[4][3]

Ben-Victor debuted on the small screen in 1987 in the television filmBlood Vows: The Story of a Mafia Wife and on an episode ofCagney & Lacey.

Ben-Victor has been featured on many television cop dramas likeFBI,Monk andCSI, and also had a recurring role as two-bit con man Steve Richards on three episodes ofNYPD Blue from 1994 to 1997. He also appeared as Steve Richards on a 1998 episode of the short-lived police dramaBrooklyn South.^[5]

Ben-Victor had a starring role in theSci-Fi Channel television showThe Invisible Man, alongsideVincent Ventresca. The two later guest starred together on the hit TV showLas Vegas. They were reunited again on an episode of the newUSA Network seriesIn Plain Sight ("Hoosier Daddy"), on which Ben-Victor has a supporting role.

He was cast in important roles on HBO dramasThe Wire (as mobsterSpiros "Vondas" Vondopoulos) andEntourage, as well as making a 2006 appearance as Coach Lou onMy Name Is Earl. He portrayedMoe Howard in the 2000 television filmThe Three Stooges.^[6]

Ben-Victor has roles in the filmsThe Irishman (2019),The Banker (2020), andLast Looks (2022).^[5]

He has co-written stage plays with his mother, includingClub Soda andThe Good Steno.^[7]
