Patrick Weathers is an American musician, actor andcomedian, who appeared as a cast member onseason 6 ofSaturday Night Live from 1980 to 1981.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

After college, Weathers moved to New Orleans, where he began working withThe Meters. Moving to New York City, he performed alongsideRun DMC before getting a job atStudio 54 which led to an audition forSaturday Night Live.[7]

Among the characters Weathers played wasBob Dylan.[8] He also playedRavi Shankar, the musician who introducedThe Beatles to Indian music. Weathers was friends withDavid Sheffield, who became a prominent writer on the show then collaborator on manyEddie Murphy comedies.

Weathers had a successful musical career, prior to his year onSNL, and returned to music afterwards, releasing threealbums, and settling inNew Orleans.[1][9][10] He owns several art galleries there, and appeared in theWill Ferrell comedyThe Campaign.[11]
