Patrick Henry High School is a publichigh school inAshland ,Virginia inHanover County . The name of the school, as well as the name of its literary publications,The Voice ,The Spark , andThe Orator , reference the history of AmericanFounding Father Patrick Henry .
The school was initially consolidated from Montpelier, Beaverdam, Henry Clay, and Rockville high schools in the 1959 to form the new Patrick Henry High School. The first entrants of the new school were the class of 1960. The school celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2009.[ 3]
