Patrick J. Ungaro (March 3, 1941 - August 17, 2019) was anOhio politician, most noted for his long tenure asmayor of the industrial city ofYoungstown, having served in the position from 1984 to 1997.[1] He was a member of theDemocratic Party.[2] While in office he introduced projects to renovatebrownfield sites.[3]
Prior to his job as mayor, he was an educator in the Youngstown City School system.[1]
After leaving the mayor's office, Ungaro re-located just north of Youngstown toLiberty Township. He worked in government there as a township administrator until 2019, having been appointed to the post in 2002.[1]
