Small ancient city in Cappadocia or Lesser Armenia

Patara (Ancient Greek:Πάταρα) was a small ancient city inancient Cappadocia orLesser Armenia, (Tab. Peut.), later inPontus. The city lay on the major trade road fromTrapezus on theBlack Sea toSatala, and thence toLake Van.
