Patagonia Lake is a man-made reservoir inSanta Cruz County,Arizona, United States, located southwest of the town ofPatagonia, Arizona and northeast ofNogales.[1] The lake was created by dammingSonoita Creek,[2] and is a popular area for boating and sport fishing. Facilities are maintained byArizona State Parks as part ofPatagonia Lake State Park.
Reproducingfish species located in Patagonia Lake arelargemouth bass,black crappie,bluegill,green sunfish,flathead catfish,threadfin shad,redear sunfish,channel catfish, andAmerican bullfrogs.Rainbow trout are stocked every three weeks from October to March.[3]
