ThePastrami Queen is aJewish deli on theUpper East Side ofManhattan which opened as Pastrami King inWilliamsburg, Brooklyn before moving toKew Gardens, Queens[2] in 1961.[3] The kosher restaurant opened in 1956.[4] They've since opened (2020)[5] a location on theUpper West Side[6] considered their flagship location.[3] They took over the former Fine & Schapiro, a long-time kosher deli in the space.[6]
In 2016,Anthony Bourdain said: "If I'm away from New York long enough, I need a correct pastrami sandwich from either Pastrami Queen orKatz's. And you're not getting that anywhere else, as far as I'm concerned."[3]
