Theparliamentary under-secretary of state for digital economy is a junior position in theDepartment for Science, Innovation and Technology in the British government.[1] The post is currently held byLiz Lloyd.

History

Between 2021 and 2024 the role was known asparliamentary under-secretary of state for Tech and the Digital Economy. The position was originally part of theDepartment for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport but was moved to the newly createdDepartment for Science, Innovation and Technology in theFebruary 2023 cabinet reshuffle.
