ThePangwa are aBantu ethnolinguistic group based in theKipengere Range on the eastern shore ofLake Malawi, in theLudewa District ofNjombe Region in southernTanzania. In 2002 the Pangwa population was estimated to number 95,000[1]. The Pangwa language is a member of theBantu family.

Alternate names for Pangwa are Ekipangwa and Kipangwa.
