Pangasinan's 5th congressional district is one of the sixcongressional districts of the Philippines in the province ofPangasinan. It has been represented in theHouse of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in thePhilippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916.[3] The district consists of the City ofUrdaneta and adjacent municipalities ofAlcala,Bautista,Binalonan,Laoac,Pozorrubio,Santo Tomas,Sison, andVillasis. Prior to its second dissolution in 1972, it consisted of the eastern municipalities ofAsingan,Balungao,Natividad,Rosales,San Manuel,San Nicolas,San Quintin,Santa Maria,Tayug, andUmingan, now comprising the6th district since 1987. It is currently represented in the19th Congress byRamon Guico Jr. of theLakas–CMD (Lakas).[4]
