Pampia[1] was an ancientmicrocontinent orterrane that collided withRío de la Plata Craton andRío Apas Craton during thePampean orogeny of lateProterozoic and earlyCambrian.[2] It was one of the first terranes to be amalgamated to the oldcratons of the east, and was followed by the suturing ofCuyania andChilenia terranes into the youngSouth American Plate.
