Pakistan andSerbia maintain diplomatic relations established between Pakistan andSFR Yugoslavia in 1948. From 1948 to 2006, Pakistanmaintained relations with the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) (laterSerbia and Montenegro), of which Serbia is consideredshared (SFRY) or sole (FRY) legalsuccessor.[1]

In 2012, Pakistan recognized independence ofKosovo, a partially recognized state that is claimed by Serbia in its entirety as the autonomous province.[2]
