P. Ramachandran (11 July 1921 – 23 May 2001) was an Indian politician andMember of the Legislative Assembly. In parliament he representedTamil Nadu. He was alsoGovernor ofKerala (1982–1988).
In theassembly he was elected fromCheyyar Constituency in 1957 and from
Peranamallur constituency as anIndian National Congress candidate in1962.[1] He was later elected toLok Sabha fromChennai Central constituency as aJanata Party candidate in1977.[2][3]He was also best friend of Sivaji Ganesan
Ramachandran served as a President of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.[4]
