P. J. Gallagher (born 18 April 1975) is anIrishstand-upcomedian, actor and co-creator of the television showNaked Camera.[1] His various characters in the programme include a mentally unstable taxi driver, ladies' manJake Stevens and a "Dirty Auld One", an old woman who makes sexual comments. A massive Leeds utd fan. He is part of the breakfast show team onRadio Nova with the award winning presenter Jim McCabe.
Gallagher was born on 18 April 1975 (1975-04-18) inCork,Ireland. He is an alumnus ofSt Paul's College, Raheny. In June 2013 (2013-06), Gallagher married Elaine Stewart who was his long-term girlfriend.[2][3] He is also friends with fellow comedianJason Byrne, and he has worked on BBC'sThe I Hate Show.[4] Gallagher is also a motorbike racer. He has revealed he hasreactive arthritis.[5]
He participated in season 4 ofCelebrity Bainisteoir managing St Patrick's GAA Club Donabate, Dublin.[6]
He was inMeet Your Neighbours, when RTÉ put him onRTÉ One.[7]
He presentedPJ and Jim in the Morning with Jim McCabe onClassic Hits until April, 2021. On April 1, 2021, PJ and co-host Jim McCabe moved from Ireland's Classic Hits to Radio Nova to present the new 'Morning Glory' breakfast programme; the show is broadcast every weekday from 6am-10am.
Starting from 21 October 2015, P.J. also presents Dubland with Suzanne Kane.[8] The podcast reached number 1 on the iTunes Irish comedy chart.[citation needed]
