Sri Lankan politician

Ratnayake Mudiyanselage Punchi Banda Kaviratne (3 February 1936) was a Sri Lankan politician. He was the Minister of Cultural Affairs and member ofParliament of Sri Lanka fromRattota representing theUnited National Party.[1][2]

He was elected to parliament from Rattota in the1977 general election defeatingS. B. Yalegama and retained his seat in the1970 general election, but lost it in the1977 general election and was re-elected in the1989 general election.Sanjeeva Kaviratne was his son.
