TheOuvèze (French pronunciation:[uvɛz];Occitan:Ovesa) is ariver in southernFrance and lefttributary of theRhône.[1] It rises in the southernFrench Prealps (theBaronnies), in the commune ofMontauban-sur-l'Ouvèze. It flows into the Rhône inSorgues, north ofAvignon. Its length is 93 km (58 mi).[1] Its drainage basin is 1,919 km2 (741 sq mi).[2] TheSorgue is one of its tributaries.
