Oualidia (Moroccan Arabic:الوالديةl-walidiya) orLoualidia is a village inMorocco'sAtlantic coast in theCasablanca-Settatregion and at the border ofMerrakch-Asfi. It is situated betweenEl Jadida andAsfi and is located beside a protected naturallagoon and has been called Morocco's "oyster capital," a reference to the significant roleshellfish harvesting plays in the local economy.[1]
At the time of the2004 census, the commune had a total population of 15,433 people living in 2668 households.[2]
