Ottweiler (German pronunciation:[ˈɔtvaɪlɐ]ⓘ) is a municipality, former seat of thedistrict of Neunkirchen, inSaarland,Germany. It is situated on the riverBlies, approx. 7 km north ofNeunkirchen, and 25 km northeast ofSaarbrücken.
The town is notable for theOttweiler porcelain.
The Ottweiler Brewing Company was founded in Ottweiler in 1873. It was moved to theKarlsberg Brewery inHomburg in 1983.
Bundestrasse 420 and Bundestrasse 41 pass through the town. Thelocal train station sees regular service to nearby citiesSaarbrücken andFrankfurt.
