Otimus is a 3rd-centuryEgyptianmartyr andsaint. Otimus was born in Fowwa, and later became its priest.[1] After some time, he moved to the mountain ofAnsena. WhenEmperorDiocletian incited his persecution against theChristians,Arianus the governor of Ansena called for Otimus and ordered him to worship the idols. When Otimus refused, Arianustortured him and eventually ordered that he be burned on3 Pashons.[2] The relics of Otimus are believed to be in the city ofKalabsha.
