Unincorporated community in the American state of Missouri

Osage City is anunincorporated community inCole County, in theU.S. state ofMissouri.[1]

History

Osage City wasplatted in 1867.[2] The community took its name from the nearbyOsage River.[3] A post office called Osage City was established in 1856, and remained in operation until 1962.[4]

TheGay Archeological Site was listed on theNational Register of Historic Places in 2016.[5]
