Ornella Maria Vignola Cabot (Spanish:[oɾˈneʎamaˈɾiabiˈɲolakaˈβot]; born 30 September 2004) is a professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder orwinger forWomen's Super League clubEverton. Born in Uruguay, she is a Spain youth international.
Vignola was born on 30 September 2004 inMontevideo, Uruguay. At the age of one, she moved with her family toSpain and grew up inBenalmádena, Spain. The niece of Uruguayan television presenterKarina Vignola, she has an older brother.[1]
Vignola started her career with Spanish sideMálaga B. Following her stint there, she signed for Spanish sideBarcelona in 2020, where she made two league appearances and scored zero goals and helped the club win theleague title. Two years later, she signed for Spanish sideSevilla, where she made fifteen league appearances and scored zero goals.[2]
In 2023, she signed for Spanish sideAlavés. The same year, she signed for Spanish sideGranada, where she made fifty-seven league appearances and scored six goals.[2]
On 4 July 2025, Vignola signed forWomen's Super League clubEverton.[3] On 6 September, she made her debut for the club, scoring a hat-trick in a 4–1 derby victory overLiverpool, the first men's or women's Everton player to score a hat-trick in theMerseyside Derby sinceDixie Dean in 1931.[4]
Vignola is a Spain youth international. During the summer of 2022, she played for theSpain women's national under-20 football team at the2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, helping the team win the competition.[5]
Vignola plays as amidfielder orwinger. Argentine news websiteMarcha Noticias wrote in 2019 that she "is comfortable in... attacking midfielder, winger, or playmaker. Her distinctive traits are speed and skill, enhanced by an intelligent vision".[1]
