Orders, decorations, and medals of Austria

Thehonours system in theRepublic of Austria is a means of rewarding individuals' personal achievement, or service toAustria bystate decorations and medals.

The system consists of several types of award which were established by theNational Council and are conferred by thePresident of Austria in accordance with the respective laws.[1]
