Orcival (French pronunciation:[ɔʁsival];Auvergnat:Orsivau) is acommune in thePuy-de-Dômedepartment inAuvergne in centralFrance.[3] The 12th–13th-century basilica of Notre Dame is a listed monument.[4] It contains many ancient religious objects, including a 12th-century procession statue of the Virgin and Child.[5]
The village of Orcival is located in the Vale of Silouet, 26 km fromClermont-Ferrand, west of Mont-Domes and north ofMont-Dore.
