Town in ancient Pontus

Ophis (Ancient Greek:Ὄφις) was a town ofancient Pontus on theBlack Sea near the mouth of theOphis River, 90stadia east ofHyssus.[1][2]

Its site is located nearOf inAsiatic Turkey.[3][4]
