Omagh is one of the seven district electoral areas (DEA) inFermanagh and Omagh, Northern Ireland.[1] The district elects six members toFermanagh and Omagh District Council and contains the wards of Camowen, Coolnagard, Dergmoney, Gortrush, Killyclogher and Strule.[2] Omagh forms part of the West Tyrone constituencies for theNorthern Ireland Assembly andUK Parliament.

It was created for the1985 local elections, replacingOmagh Area C which had existed since 1973. It was calledOmagh Town until 2014, and originally contained seven wards (Camowen, Coolnagard, Dergmoney, Drumragh, Gortrush, Lisanelly and Strule). For the2014 local elections it was reduced to six wards.
