TheOlympisch Stadion (Dutch pronunciation:[oːˈlɪmpiˌstaːdijɔn]) orKielstadion[1] (pronounced[ˈkilstaːdijɔn]) was built as the main stadium for the1920 Summer Olympics inAntwerp. For those games, it hosted theathletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting andkorfball (demonstration) events.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] Following the Olympics it was converted to a football stadium. Its current tenant isK Beerschot VA, a Belgian football club. There are no remnants of the Olympic athletics track.

It is possible thatArchibald Leitch was involved in the design of the stadium having made several visits prior to the Games.[11]
