Alejandro Lloyd Carranza (born November 27, 1993),[1] known professionally asOhGeesy, is anAmericanrapper fromLos Angeles. He is noted as a founding member of the hip hop groupShoreline Mafia.[6] In 2021, with the band's apparent disbandment, OhGeesy shifted towards a solo career with the release of his debut solo albumGeezyworld which peaked at number 102 on theBillboard 200.[7]

In19 June 2024, he performed the song "Geekaleek" along withFenix Flexin, forKendrick Lamar's concertThe Pop Out: Ken & Friends at theKia Forum inInglewood, California, during the first set by DJ Hed, titled theAct I – DJ Hed & Friends.[8]

Shoreline Mafia

OhGeesy startedrapping alongside members ofShoreline Mafia in 2012. He met memberFenix Flexin while doinggraffiti inLos Angeles. In 2016, Shoreline Mafia became a fully-formedrap group, withRob Vicious andMaster Kato joining the lineup.[6]

Solo career

In February 2021, OhGeesy appeared onAmericanrapperDrakeo the Ruler's single "For Real" and its subsequentmusic video alongsideAmericanrapper Ketchy the Great.[9] In May 2021, he released his single "Get Fly" withAmericanrapperDaBaby alongside amusic video directed by Austin Simkins.[10] In July 2021, he released themusic video for his track "Big Bad Wolf", a collaboration withAmericanrapperYG.[11] In August 2021, he released his debut solo albumGeezyworld with appearances fromA Boogie wit da Hoodie,DaBaby,YG,Central Cee, BlueBucksClan, and Moe Faygoo.[12]

Personal life

As he previously said in numerous interviews, Ohgeesy is Mexican as both of his parents are of Mexican origin. Carranza became a father in March 2019.[13]

In October 2021, during an interview withHipHopDX, Carranza spoke about his struggle withdrug addiction and how it almost caused him toretire frommusic.[14]

Carranza supportedDonald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.[15]
