TheOglethorpe Stormy Petrels football team representedOglethorpe University incollege football. They have not competed since 1941 whenWorld War II shut down all sports in 1942.[2]

History

Frank B. Anderson established the football and baseball programs in 1917.[3]Jogger Elcock was the team's next coach. UnderHarry J. Robertson, the team won aSouthern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) conference title on the back ofAdrian Maurer in1924 and1925.[4]

The1926 team defeatedGeorgia Tech, and the1929 team beatGeorgia.[5]
