Obe (also spelledAwba) is adistrict in the northeast ofHerat Province,Afghanistan. It borders on the north withBadghis Province, on the east withChishti sharif District, on the southeast withFarsi District, on the south withAdraskan District, and on the west withPashtun Zarghun andKarukh districts.
The population of the district was estimated at 73,600 in 2012.[1] The district center is the town ofObe (Owbi). TheHari River flows through the district.
