Nundle Shire was proclaimed on 7 March 1906, one of 134 shires created after the passing of theLocal Government (Shires) Act 1905.[1]
The shire office was inNundle.[2] Other towns in the shire includedWoolomin.[2]
Nundle Shire amalgamated with theCity of Tamworth,Manilla Shire and parts ofParry Shire andBarraba Shire to formTamworth Regional Council on 17 March 2004.[3]
