Nortkerque (French pronunciation:[nɔʁ(t)kɛʁk]ⓘ;West Flemish:Noordkerke) is acommune in thePas-de-Calaisdepartment in theHauts-de-France region ofFrance.[3]
Its name comes fromDutch and means "North church" (compare nearbyZutkerque).
Nortkerque 15 miles (24 km) northwest ofSaint-Omer, at the junction of the D224 and the D226 roads, half a mile from the A26 autoroute.
