Most plutons of the North Patagonian Batholith are ofCretaceous Period to theMiocene age of theNeogene Period (135 Ma to 25-15 Ma), during theMesozoic Era. Late Miocene to earlyPliocene (10 to 5 Ma) leucogranites were also intruded. The Tertiary intrusions are centered on thestrike-slipLiquine-Ofqui fault zone and include somegabbro bodies.[1]
