North Carolina's 47th Senate district is one of 50 districts in theNorth Carolina Senate. It has been represented byRepublicanRalph Hise since 2011.[1]

Geography

Since 2023, the district has included all ofMadison,Yancey,Mitchell,Avery,Watauga,Ashe, andAlleghany counties, as well as parts ofHaywood andCaldwell counties. The district overlaps with the 85th, 87th, 93rd, and 118th state house districts.
