TheNorth American Football Confederation (Spanish:Confederación Norteamericana de Fútbol), abbreviated asNAFC, was the governing body ofassociation football inNorth America from 1946 to 1961, and a predecessor confederation ofCONCACAF. Founded in 1946 under the president Carlos Alonso who was elected on 19 December 1946 inHavana.[1] NAFC merged withCCCF to found the current CONCACAF in 1961.
TheNAFC Championship was anassociation football competition organized by NAFC as its top regional tournament for men's senior national teams fromNorth America.
