No htamin (Burmese:နို့ထမင်း;IPA:[no̰tʰəmɪ́ɴ], also known in English asmilk rice) is a festiverice dish inBurmese cuisine, typically associated with celebratory occasions and generally regarded for its restorative properties.

Buttered rice uses long-grainedpaw hsan hmwe orbasmati rice, and is cooked withmilk,shallots,butter,salt, and optionally with spices such asgaram masala,cumin andaniseed.[1] It is typically eaten withBurmese curries.
