Nitish Naik is an Indiancardiologist, known for his expertise incardiovascular diseases, and is an additional professor at theAll India Institute of Medical Sciences.[1][2] He was honoured by theGovernment of India, in 2014, by bestowing on him thePadma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.[3] He is reported to have treatedManmohan Singh,[4]Sonia Gandhi[5] and theLashkar-e-Taiba operative in India,Abdul Karim Tunda.[6]
