Nintendo Today! is adigital calendar and news mobile app byNintendo that primarily centers around delivering news relating to their products, as well as informing users of upcoming real life and in-game events through the use of a calendar. The service is available for anyone with aNintendo Account. Nintendo Today! was announced in aNintendo Direct presentation on March 27, 2025, and released the same day forAndroid andiOS.

Users can select themes for the app based onSuper Mario,The Legend of Zelda,Splatoon,Animal Crossing,Pikmin, andKirby.[citation needed] Users can then choose the Nintendo series that they are interested in from a selection of their franchises.[1] Users can also allow for dates relating to certain events in selectNintendo Switch and mobile titles,Nintendo Switch Online content releases (including classic game andNintendo Music soundtrack releases),Nintendo Directs, game releases, and in-person events to be displayed on the in-app calendar.[1] The news and content of the app updates daily, with news on theNintendo Switch 2 planned to be released daily after the broadcast of the console's upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation.[2] Besides broadcasting the latest Nintendo news and events, Nintendo Today! also delivers comics, non-news-related videos, quizzes, and other similar content based on the user's preferences.[3] The app also supports the Widgets feature oniOS, allowing users on the platform to display the calendar and content on the user's Lock and Home Screens.[4]

Nintendo Today! was announced in aNintendo Direct broadcast on March 27, 2025, and was released shortly after onAndroid andiOS devices.[4] On March 28, 2025, the app was used to exclusively announce the release date of the 2027The Legend of Zelda film.[5] The app was later used on June 10, 2025, to announce an update forSplatoon 3 and a new game,Splatoon Raiders.[6][7]
