Opanayake Nimal Piyatissa (born 5 January 1968) is aSri Lankan politician, former provincial minister andMember of Parliament.[1]
Piyatissa was born on 5 January 1968.[1] He was previously a member of theJanatha Vimukthi Peramuna but is currently a member of theNational Freedom Front.[2][3]
Piyatissa was a member of Walapane Divisional Council and theCentral Provincial Council where he held a provincial ministerial portfolio.[2] He contested the2020 parliamentary election as aSri Lanka People's Freedom Allianceelectoral alliance candidate inNuwara Eliya District and was elected to theParliament of Sri Lanka.[4][5][6]
