Niepołomice (pronouncedNiepowomitse[ɲɛpɔwɔˈmʲit͡sɛ]) is a town in southernPoland, seat ofGmina Niepołomice in theWieliczka County in theLesser Poland Voivodeship.[1]
It is situated on theVistula River, on the verge of the large virginNiepołomice Forest.
There is a 14th-centuryhunting castle in town initially built byCasimir III, as well as a conservation center forEuropean bison (Polish:Żubry) nearby.
