Nicola Lagioia (born 18 April 1973) is an Italian writer.

Born inBari, Lagioia debuted as a novelist in 2001 withTre sistemi per sbarazzarsi di Tolstoj (senza risparmiare se stessi).[1] With his novelRiportando tutto a casa he won several awards, including the 2010Viareggio Prize.[1] In 2013 and in 2014, he was among the film selectors of the Venice International Film Festival.[2] In 2015, he won theStrega Prize with the novelLa ferocia (a.k.a. "The ferocity").[3]

In 2025, his novelThe City of the Living was longlisted for theInternational Dublin Literary Award.[4]
