Nick Srnicek (born 1982)[2] is a Canadian writer and academic. He is currently a lecturer inDigital Economy in theDepartment of Digital Humanities, King's College London.[3] Srnicek is associated with thepolitical theory ofaccelerationism and apost-scarcity economy.

Biography

Srnicek took a double major in Psychology and philosophy[4] before completing an MA at theUniversity of Western Ontario in 2007.[5] He proceeded to a PhD at theLondon School of Economics, completing his thesis in 2013 on "Representing complexity: the material construction of world politics".[6] He has worked as a Visiting Lecturer atCity University and theUniversity of Westminster.[7]
