Ngọc Hiển is the southernmostrural district ofCà Mau province before being abolished in theMekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 66,874.[1][2] The district covers an area of 743 km2. The district capital lies atViên An Đông.[2]
