Ngāti Ruapani orNgāti Ruapani ki Waikaremoana is aMāoriiwi of northernHawke's Bay and the southernGisborne District inNew Zealand. They take their name from the ancestorRuapani, who lived at the Popoiapā on theWaipaoa River nearWaituhi in the 15th and 16th century. The main centre for the tribe is now theLake Waikaremoana area.
Ngāti Tūtekohe was aniwi of theGisborne District inNew Zealand, who took their name from Tutekohi, a descendant ofRuapani.
